Summary
Natural and crafted eggs are the subject of this program hosted by LeVar Burton. The Russian story of "Rechenka's eggs" by Patricia Polacco is read, the viewer visits the author, who decorates an egg using the Ukranian art of pysanky. Also included is an experiment to show the strength of an egg and students watch many animals hatch from eggs. Three other books are introduced, including "The talking eggs" by Robert D. San Souci, "Stefan & Olga" by Betsy Day, and "I made it myself" by Sabine Lohf.
