Summary
Presents two films in the popular Hope-Crosby "road" comedy series. Road to Bali (1952): Having to leave Melbourne in a hurry to avoid various marriage proposals, two song-and-dance men sign on for work as divers. This takes them to an idyllic island on the way to Bali where they vie with each other for the favours of Princess Lala. But when the hazardous dive produces a chest of priceless jewels, it draws the attention of some shady characters. Road to Rio (1947): Two inept vaudevillians stow away on a Brazilian-bound ocean liner and foil a plot by a sinister hypnotist to marry off her niece to a greedy fortune hunter.
